My Cactus Garden : I raise cacti in my garden and greenhouse, with over 100 varieties. The plants are intriguing and the flowers beautiful. "Hedgehog Cactus" is the common name for Echinocereus cacti -- they are cold hardy and wonderful outdoor plants for the high desert. Winter care for most of the others involve covering if they are in the ground or moved to the green house if potted.
